This Syngenta Foundation programme is research partnership and project partnership to preserve the resource base and foster sustainable land management. The main goal is to support public authorities and the population in their efforts to maintain the resource base and improve living conditions among the rural population. The programme supports sustainable forms of land management based on appropriate use of soil and water.Programme activities focus on ensuring self-sufficiency among farmers as well as maintaining - and where possible, improving - agricultural productivity. There are three main activities: collaborative research and development in sustainable land management; specific local and regional development projects and initiatives; and strengthening Eritrean institutions that are active in the area of sustainable land management. |
