The International Development Research Centre is a public corporation created by the Canadian government to help communities in the developing world find solutions to social, economic, and environmental problems through research. Areas IDRC works in include: Social, Economic, and Environmental Policies; Health; Environment and Natural Resource Management; Information and Communications Technologies for Development; Capacity Building; Gender; and Knowledge Systems. Resources on the web site include: evaluation resources; databases describing IDRC projects and research; and a bookshop.
