NGO formed in 1996 to combat environmental problems in Somalia. Some of the current environmental problems that Somalia faces are: the use of contaminated water which contributes to health problems; deforestation; overgrazing; soil erosion; desertification; merciless poaching of wildlife; recurring droughts; and the dumping of hazardous nuclear and chemical waste by industrialized nations.
